The Deputy Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Sihle Zikalala, has applauded the signing of the Land Restitution Bill by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Zikalala says that this law paves the way for land reform for the benefit of communities and is fully in line with the country's Constitution.
He says that this law is unique in the long history of the country's struggle, and will put South Africa on the path of economic transformation and inclusive growth.
Zikala added that this new law will improve the delivery of infrastructure development programs, industrial development and agricultural reforms that improve food supply.
He has also urged the groups that oppose the signing of this law, DA, ActionSA and Freedom Front Plus to accept this decision as an indication that democracy in this country is working.
