Ramaphosa states that South Africa is not concerned about its relationship with the US during Trump's presidency
South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa stated on Wednesday that he is not concerned about the country's ties with the U.S. under President Donald Trump.
Ramaphosa mentioned that he had a conversation with Trump following his election win and is eager to collaborate with his administration.
"I'm not worried about our relations. I spoke to him right after he was elected, congratulated him, and we both expressed our desire for ongoing cooperation," he told reporters at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Currently, South Africa is leading the G20, and the U.S. will take over next.
Ramaphosa noted that South Africa will assist the U.S. in preparing for its G20 presidency.
