pedestrian has lost his life in a taxi accident in Durban

As reported by ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, the minibus driver lost control following a collision with a vehicle at the intersection of Smith and Park streets.

"After the collision, the taxi veered off course and mounted the sidewalk, striking pedestrians before finally coming to a stop against the bus shelter. Paramedics discovered two male pedestrians who had been hit."

A man in his twenties was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other individual has been transported to the hospital.
