NPA apologized to Sonia Mbele for speaking inappropriately in the case of her son

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has issued an apology to actress Sonia Mbele after facing criticism for speaking about her in a statement regarding the trial of her son Donell Mbele.

Donell Mbele, 23, appeared in court on two counts of rape involving a young girl.

The NPA admitted that the inclusion of Sonia Mbele in their statement did not meet their standard of professionalism and integrity.

They admitted it showed poor judgment and apologized for any hurt or distress caused to him and the community.

The incident has sparked discussions about the NPA's effectiveness, with some criticizing the agency's way of working.

The NPA has since retracted the statement and reaffirmed its commitment to uphold high standards in communications.
