The department wants to reassure the public that the issue is being addressed, with a contractor on-site and the situation under close observation. Some services at Kopanong District Hospital have been affected by interruptions in water supply. According to a statement from the Gauteng Department of Health, the areas experiencing these disruptions include the theatre, maternity ward, antenatal clinic, and both medical and orthopedic wards.
Fortunately, the ground floor services, which include outpatient services, tuberculosis wards, food service, laundry, and the mortuary, remain unaffected by the water crisis.
The department extends its apologies to patients and the public for any inconvenience caused.
