An Indian man, Gurumurthy, reportedly killed his wife, Madhavi and cooked her body parts in a pressure cooker.
The police revealed this on Wednesday, saying that the suspect confessed to the murder.
They stated that the man also admitted that he removed his body parts from different places
The police, however, said they are confirming the claims of the 45-year-old man, adding that there are no body parts of the woman, P Venkata Madhavi.
The suspect was working as a security guard at the Defense Research and Development Organization in Kanchan Bagh.
Madhavi went missing on January 16 from Hyderabad's Meerpet area. Gurumurthy has been married to Madhavi for 13 years and the couple has two children.
The police said that Gurumurthy, who lived in New Venkateshwara Nagar Colony, Meerpet, tried to mislead them by joining his in-laws to lodge a complaint with the police on January 18. During the investigation, Gurumurthy told the police that his wife left home in a rage after an argument between them on January 16 morning and did not return.
As the search for Madhavi intensified, the police began to suspect the husband and questioned him again. Gurumurthy is said to have confessed to committing the crime. According to the police, the couple has been arguing regularly for days.
